New York Stationery Show: Last Day!
Written on May 21, 2008 by Laura Whipple
It’s a wrap!
Tenth & Grant has officially ended its time at the 2008 National Stationery Show. It was an incredible and mostly fun learning experience!
The Javits Center (pictured above) was the many-windowed home to Surtex (a surface design show) and the ICFF (international contemporary furniture fair) during the same time as the Stationery show. What a convergence of design. There was such beautiful creativity and craftmanship on display at the stationery show (loop, Night Owl, Spruce Avenue, to name but a few), but honestly, you did have to wade through a bit of uninspired ware to find the gems. Such is the industry. It’s not terribly sad to part ways with the Hannah Montana singing pens and the jillions of smiling dog greeting cards, but we will miss our friends from aisle 1800!
Thank you New York. Onward to Portland!
