Hot off the Press: Scout Books for Mark Caneso
Written on December 17, 2009 by Nicole Lavelle

Typography and a Scout Book: a perfect marriage.
Scout Book, 1/0, Blank interior, Chipboard 20pt. Kraft, Pantone soy-based inks.
Mark Caneso is pprwrkstudio as well as pstype, a graphic designer as well as a typographer. A busy man! These Scout Books are a synthesis of his skills, designed to be a promotional piece for a new typeface he designed called Ratio.
Ratio is available in six weights with matching italics, and is touted as “identifiable, contemporary and versatile.” Ratio started with a sketch, notes Mark Caneso on the cover of his Scout Book. We bet a lot of good ideas start with a sketch, so keep that Scout Book close!
