Hello 2009! And hello to the the eighth installment of the Designer Card Deck!
This month’s offering features a delightful two color illustration by graphic designer Ian Lynam. A long-time Pinball collaborator, Ian has designed all the promotional materials for the PDX Film Fest (printed by Pinball), contributed to the Tenth & Grant line, and brought many other fine print projects our way. He has a MFA in graphic design from CalArts in LA, and now operates his multidisciplinary design studio out of Tokyo. He’s the co-founder of the Japanese cultural journal Néojaponisme, and regularly contributes to Idea Magazine, Viewers Like U, and PingMag.
Portland distribution for the series is going strong, and we’re now in the second month of distro in NYC and Brooklyn (thank you Cielo & Ashley!). January will mark the addition of a third metro area for the DCD project, San Fran!
