Typecon2008: Punkt: July 15th – 20th

Better mind your “p”s and “q”s, BUFFALO!
The annual typography conference TYPECON hosted by SOTA (Society of Typographic Aficianados) is taking place next week in Buffalo, NY. This year’s event, where type-geeks of the world will unite and celebrate their love of letterforms, looks to be a power packed. Designer superstar Stefan Sagmeister kicks things off with a presentation on Wednesday night, and the typographic fun doesn’t stop until Sunday evening. We’ll be missing out this year, but I recommend partaking if you find yourself in upstate New York.
I’m most sad about missing out on the Saturday night event – Alpha Crazy – a buffet dinner that includes a type quiz AND dancing AND surprises.
