Preparing your files for print
Follow this checklist while preparing your files for a smooth and successful printing experience.
- The document size in my file matches my print item size.
- I've included an 1/8th inch bleed (if my artwork has a bleed).
- My image resolution is at least 300 dpi (at placed size).
- I've outlined my type or provided the typefaces.
- I've designed in the CMYK colorspace (not RGB).
- With spot-color designs, I've set my colors as Pantone solid uncoated.
- I've checked a Pantone color guide to verify my colors.
- I've included any linked image files used in my layout.
- I've copy-edited my file for typos and accuracy.
- I've included pertinent information in my files about folds, perforations, die-cuts, etc.
- I've provided Pinball with a native Creative Suite file (INDD, AI, or PSD) or a PDF file.
- For booklet or book projects, I've made a dummy mock-up or had one provided to me using the papers I selected.
- For booklet or book projects, I've double-checked that the page count in my file matches the page count in my quote.
