Design-sensitive

Unlike many print shops, Pinball Publishing was founded not as a business, but as a solution to a problem we feel many designers face: How do I successfully translate my design into a physical reality? We knew that being more deeply involved in the printing process would be the key to making our own projects more effective - both technically and creatively - and that this was a needed service we could offer to many others through our printing.

Individual attention

Many online printing companies achieve rock-bottom pricing structures by ganging up projects. This means your project will be competing with many other items on the same press sheet for the attention of the press operator. Pinball's approach is different. Our standard print items are all priced to be run as individual projects.

The pricing is still competitive, but you get the piece of mind that your project will be treated with individualized care and attention. Since many print designs look better as spot- color jobs (as opposed to auto-converting everything to four-color), our production methods are more flexible and tuned to your specific design choices. The difference in print quality is remarkable!

Service oriented

We care deeply about our clients, their projects, and the creative community as a whole. Our business model is based on exceeding our clients' expectations, period. To this aim, we are here to provide prompt responses to your quote requests, speedy replies to your project questions, attentive pre-press, superior printing, and amazing follow-through.

Environmentally-minded

Since we opened our doors in 2002 and began offering eco-friendly print options, we've seen many print shops turn "green." Offering recycled papers, soy-based inks, low VOC press room chemicals, direct-to-plate technology, and purchasing green power have become the norm for many print shops.

While our shop does all of the above, we also take a more comprehensive approach so that when someone purchases printing from us they know that it's not just their particular print job that's using recycled paper and other eco-friendly options, but that the entire shop is run with high environmental standards. It's a top-down approach that we implemented because of our own desire to be good to our world and ourselves.

Creative

We believe in the ultimate power of creativity! We aim to foster it in ourselves, our team, our clients, and our community. We have a variety of complementary projects that fuel the creative spirit at Pinball, including our Creative resource center, our CoinOp blog, our Designer card series, our micro-record label, and our paper goods line.
